We wanted to experiment with a chair design that would work with the discussion table, yet as parents be a piece of art that we could keep and recognize our children's accomplishments. We dubbed it "spreading wings". Inspired by the lines of the logo of Lancaster Country Day School and the Captain's Chairs popular in the past, we used the same wood as the Class of 2026 discussion table and incorporated elements of where our children are attending college.
A view around the table, the back of the chair is constructed of maple and black walnut, steam bent to shape for stability and formal comfort, perfect for classroom discussion.
